8th June 2020

Many of you will have heard the Prime Minister’s announcement that dental practices are able to open on 8th June 2020. The announcement was a great surprise to the dental community and we are excited to get started again and look after our patients. However, please bear with us whilst we await further advice from our governing bodies. Some procedures will be able to be booked and some may be delayed further yet.

Keeping our patients safe and healthy, has always been at the heart of The Eledent Clinic ethos in our patient care.

We are doing everything possible to ensure everyone’s safety and working hard to source a continued supply of the correct, advanced personal protective equipment (PPE).

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic and as per the dental bodies and government advice:

Please do not arrive at the practice without a prior appointment. We will be conducting a pre-screening assessment of patients upon booking appointments to ensure it is safe to proceed on the day.

In order to maintain social distancing where possible we will ask you to come at the exact time of your appointment and to wait outside the practice until instructed to come in as the waiting room will not be in use. We will be leaving suitable gaps between appointments to avoid crowding in the waiting area to be able to maintain a safe distance between patients.

We will be reducing clinical hours to prevent and delay the spread of the infection.

Initially, we will be operating on a phased return:

We are currently prioritising patients with urgent dental needs on our waiting list and delaying all non-essential and routine dental care until further notice as per Faculty of General Dental Practice (FGDP) guidance.

However, during this time, we will be available for emergency dental assessments, virtual consultations and emergency dental appointments which include: severe tooth pain, dental trauma, swelling, infection and heavy bleeding that does not stop.

Please email us on [email protected] if you are suffering from a dental emergency and require to be triaged.

If you have a non-urgent enquiry, please be patient as it may take some time to get back to you.

PPE Surcharge

Due to global shortages and sudden increase in prices, we are forced to temporarily introduce a Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Surcharge.

This surcharge will continue to run until the Government and our dental authorities will allow us to terminate the use of advanced PPE within the dental settings.

We understand that during this time, finances are limited and people have been placed under extreme financial pressure, however, we must ensure everyone’s safety whilst ensuring that we are maintaining your well-being at all times; your safety is our priority and we will continue to provide you with the best care and treatment, as always.

We thank you for your cooperation and hope you all stay safe during these challenging times.
